Parental Controls On Website


Today, most of the internet service provider (ISP) provides some level of parental controls which forbid your children to surf website that provide inappropriate content. Some of the website that is too violent or with adult content will be pre-filter out by the ISP if you sign up their service.


But, in this advance internet technology world, that level of control is not enough. Everyday, thousands of websites are created. There is no way the ISP can catch up with this rate. So, there is still some chances that your children are being exposed to the inappropriate content website.

However, there are some tools out there that can help in some way to safeguard your children from surfing those websites.

One of the best way to do is to filter out some search result from your Google search page. Now, your children most probably won't even know what are the website url. So, most of the time, they will search through Google and once some results is returned, they clicked on to it.

So, what can you do to restrict the inappropriate content website to appear in Google search page?

You just simply need to go to Google.com and click on the preferences section beside the search entry box. From there, you can select the strict filtering option under SafeSearch Filtering. In doing so, you are actually instructing Google to filter out those inappropriate content website from appearing in any of the search result that your children attempt to search from.

So, there you go, an additional step in parental control, isn't it?
